Spotify is a music streaming service offering unlimited streaming of selected music from diferent record labels including Sony, EMI, Warner Music Group and Universal with no buffering delay. That means that you don’t must wait to listen to the music.
In their library they have a lot of artists, albums, and songs, and they upload every day 10.000 new songs.
But there is one thing that i dont like of spotify is that there are many important or famous artists who you can’t listen as The Beatles, Ac/Dc, Metallica.
Spotify has been developed since 2006 by a team at Spotify AB, Stockholm, Sweden.
Spotify was launched for public access on 7 October 2008.
Spotify reported a USD 4.4 million loss for the year of 2008. That’s because the people didnt know how its the program, and i think that they wont buy it if they dont know what they buy
Offering free accounts to the public without invitation was taken on 10 February 2009 and closed the open registrations on 11 of September 2009. So the people can see what kind of system is spotify and they can see what i can and what not.
On March 4, 2009, Spotify announced that there had been a security flaw in the Spotify service. So that many personal documents got lost from the users and that was a big problem. They’ve lost a lot of clients because of this problem
On January 28, 2010, Symantec anti-virus marked Spotify as a Trojan horse, because they thought that the information wasn’t secure with this program on the computer. But I think that the other media player companies had payed some money to symantec, so they became more clients.
On September 1, 2010, the World Economic Forum announced the company as a Technology Pioneer for 2011.
The system is currently accessible using Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and mobile. The mobiles must be a special type of mobile, a Android, so they must have a current conection to internet.
